The Voice is preparing for a major change as Season 30 approaches, and one familiar face will be missing from the coaching lineup.
The NBC singing competition is scheduled to return on September 21, 2026, with the show going back to its original format. Kelly Clarkson and Adam Levine are set to return as coaches, joined by Riley Green and Queen Latifah. But Michael Bublé will not be back for the new season.

Bublé has not publicly explained why he decided to sit out Season 30. However, several developments in his personal and professional life may offer some clues.
A Packed Schedule Outside The Voice
One possible explanation is simply timing.
Bublé has remained busy with his music career, including touring and working on new material. Taking on another full season of The Voice would require a significant commitment, particularly for an artist already balancing an active schedule.
Earlier this year, Bublé revealed that he was working on a country music album. During an appearance on Not Gonna Lie With Kylie Kelce in January, he discussed the project and his plans to explore a different side of his musical career.
The singer traveled to Nashville to work with producer Dann Huff and described the upcoming record as a “love letter to country music.” His appearance at the 2026 Academy of Country Music Awards in May further highlighted his growing connection to the genre.
With a new album taking shape, Bublé may simply be choosing to devote more time to his music.
Family Could Also Be a Factor
His family life may be another consideration.
Bublé is married to Argentine actress Luisana Lopilato, and together they have four children. The family is based in Burnaby, British Columbia, while The Voice is filmed in Los Angeles.
A full season of the show can mean weeks of filming and travel, which can be challenging for an artist who is also touring, recording and trying to spend time with his family.
Bublé recently gave fans a glimpse of that family time after a trip to Rome. In August, he shared a heartfelt message about leaving the Italian city and thanked the staff at the Parco dei Principi for making the trip special for his family.

There is currently no confirmed statement from Bublé explaining why he will not be returning for Season 30. That means any explanation for his absence remains speculation.
