Luke Bryan was forced to make a difficult decision just as he was preparing to celebrate the release of his new single.
The country superstar postponed two scheduled concerts in Washington after heavy wildfire smoke triggered his asthma during a recent performance in Oregon.
Bryan explained the situation in a video shared with fans, revealing that the smoke made it difficult for him to breathe and left him concerned about performing safely in similar conditions.

Bryan had been preparing to celebrate the release of his new song, “Signs,” on August 7. He was also scheduled to perform two shows in Washington that weekend.
But after performing in Bend, Oregon, he realized he needed to put his health first.
Bryan said the concert initially went well, but the wildfire smoke eventually began affecting his breathing.
“Stuff was going great,” he explained before revealing a personal detail that many fans may not have known.
“I have asthma, and a lot of people don’t really know that.”
The singer said the condition became difficult to manage during the performance, prompting him and his team to reconsider the upcoming Washington shows.
With wildfire smoke continuing to affect air quality across parts of the Pacific Northwest, Bryan decided postponing the concerts was the safest choice.
“We just felt like it’d probably be best to come back and reschedule to where we know I’ll be 100%,” he told fans.

Bryan’s two Washington shows have now been rescheduled.
The August 7 Spokane concert has been moved to October 11, while the August 8 Seattle-area show is now scheduled for October 10.
Bryan also acknowledged the seriousness of the wildfires and expressed his support for the firefighters and communities dealing with the dangerous conditions.

He explained that his team had been in contact with people in the Spokane area while deciding whether the shows could safely go ahead. However, after experiencing the effects of the smoke firsthand in Oregon, Bryan ultimately chose to postpone.
In a follow-up message, he thanked fans for their patience and understanding.
“I can’t wait to be back and see y’all soon,” he wrote.
Fans support Bryan’s decision
Although fans were disappointed by the postponements, many quickly rallied behind the country star and encouraged him to prioritize his health.
Some fans who attended his Oregon performance said they could tell Bryan was struggling during the show. One concertgoer noted that the performance felt different from his usual shows because of the difficult conditions.
Others praised him for continuing to perform despite the breathing difficulties but agreed that postponing the Washington concerts was the right decision.
For fans, the message was clear: they would rather wait a little longer to see Bryan perform than have him risk his health in unsafe air conditions.
Now, Bryan is focusing on recovering and returning to the stage when conditions are safer.
If everything goes according to plan, Washington fans will finally get to see him back onstage in October.
